Privacy Policy

Owedaroo is operated by the Owedaroo operator (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how Owedaroo handles personal information.

Information Owedaroo handles

We may handle account information such as your email address, business settings, subscription status and support messages. The information you enter about your customers may include names, phone numbers, email addresses, job descriptions, amounts owed, due dates, reminder drafts and payment history.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide and secure your account, store your payment-follow-up records, prepare reminder drafts, manage subscriptions, provide support, prevent misuse and improve reliability. We ask users to enter only information reasonably needed for those purposes.

Service providers

Owedaroo uses cloud providers to operate the service. These currently include Cloudflare for hosting and security, Supabase for account and database services, and Stripe for subscription billing. Those providers may process data in other countries under their own privacy and security arrangements. Stripe processes payment-card information; Owedaroo does not intentionally store full card numbers.

Optional Voice Add

If you choose Voice Add, your device or browser may use its own speech-recognition service to turn speech into text. Availability and processing depend on that provider. Owedaroo stores only the job details you choose to save; do not speak sensitive information you do not need for payment follow-up.

Sharing and marketing

We do not sell customer lists. We disclose information to service providers only as needed to operate Owedaroo, comply with law, protect rights and security, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. Owedaroo does not send marketing messages to your customers.

Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably required for support, security, legal and record-keeping purposes. You may request account deletion, subject to information we must retain by law.

Your choices and responsibilities

You may ask to access or correct your account information, request deletion, or make a privacy complaint. Owedaroo users are responsible for having an appropriate reason to store their customers’ details and contact them about amounts owed. Do not enter unnecessary sensitive information.

Contact

Email the support address shown on Owedaroo. We will respond to reasonable privacy requests and complaints. If the Australian Privacy Act applies to us, you may also have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We may update this policy when Owedaroo or legal requirements change. The latest version and date will remain published here. Open-source software notices are available on the Licences page.
